MN for the Win
MN for the Win
A Case of Christian Ponder Syndrome (Athletics Series Recap, 6/21-6/23)
Despite a disappointing loss in Game 1, the Minnesota Twins manage to beat the Oakland Athletics the next two games for a road series win in what is almost certainly their last trip to the west coast city. David and Dan have lots to say about the pitching performances of Bailey Ober and Jorge Lopez, both of whom looked excellent on the mound for the second-place Twins. They also look at the fine showings from Willi Castro and Byron Buxton, who helped keep the offense rolling even when Royce Lewis and Carlos Correa weren't dominant, and they look at whether the team will eventually need to get another starting pitcher or give position players like Brooks Lee and Matt Wallner a call-up. They glance around the MLB at some odd and notable plays, and then they make their picks for the Diamondbacks series. Thanks for listening, and go Twins!
