MN for the Win - A Minnesota Twins Podcast
No More Naps in the Clubhouse (Guardians Series Recap, 9/16-9/19)
It appears that the end has finally come for the Minnesota Twins, who lose four of five in a series against the Cleveland Guardians where they really needed the opposite result to keep their postseason hopes alive. But now seven games back with just five series left, the Twins are all but eliminated and now are striving to get back to above .500. Matt Wallner's MLB debut -- one much too late in Dan's judgment -- is among the only series bright spots for Minnesota, and both David and Dan have plenty of questions for how Rocco Baldelli managed this team in this series and down the stretch (though they grant that injuries are a major factor in their demise). They wonder whether this lands among the most disappointing Twins seasons ever, and they take a look around the MLB playoff picture, one that almost surely will not include Minnesota. Thanks for listening, and even as they lurch toward the finish, go Twins.
