MN for the Win - A Minnesota Twins Podcast
Postmodern Baseball Stats (Angels Series Recap, 8/12-8/14)
Dan is away and so Andrew "Hoges" Hoganson fills in with David as the boys discuss the Twins three game series against the LA Angels. The boys discuss if it's time to put Kepler back on the IL after extending his hitless streak to 28 at-bats. Hoges wants to know why Rocco insists on using Pagan so much and David wants to know why Barcher's starts aren't being supplemented with Cole Sands for additional length out of the pen. David defends the merits of the "MN for the Win Unofficial Win-Loss Stat," but Hoges still isn't on board. The boys discuss Tatis Jr.'s suspension and how steroid use should be viewed when it comes to statistical records. The guys wrap up with a heartwarming story of a minor leaguer finally getting the callup to the majors after 10 long seasons in the minors. The boys finish up making their picks for the upcoming Royals series. Thanks for listening, and as always, go Twins!
